I've often used Isaiah 61:1 in workshops but now I'm going to incorporate it into my trauma-informed churches workshop. Thanks Jane. I'll check it out. I just did a Trauma-Informed Church workshop for children's ministers last week for the CMConnect conference. For the most part the children's ministers that came to my workshop had no idea about what a trauma-informed church was all about. They really didn't even know how to devise a list of traumatic events in children other than the child abuse, sexual abuse and homeless. I was floored. We have so much work to do.
