I agree with you, Chris! There are so very many people hurting that the generic sermons just don't reach them. We have to get out and serve the hurting people like Jesus did. I would like to share a great resource for churches/faith communities to become trauma responsive. First United Methodist Church is in Central Minnesota have been working for three years to become a trauma responsive church. They would say they are not the experts in any way although they have stepped out on faith both within their congregation and throughout the community. Their website has become an example and resource for many please check it out.

My wife has been ministering to a young Cambodian woman who was brutally and repeatedly raped by her boss. She remains petrified. She will come into Cincinnati area for counseling and support. Does anyone know of someone in that area who can minister and support her? Thank you!
