Augusta, I just came across your post. I, too, am interested in church-based Trauma Ministry. My dearest SDA friend is the musician, Kelly Mowrer. Do you know Kelly? I have begun to present a PowerPoint Presentation entitled Roots Of Addiction in order to begin educating the SDA on ACE's. I am a former Credentialed Substance Abuse Counselor, I am a Certified Recovery Coach and am a person in long term recovery from substance abuse addiction and a recovering trauma survivor. I am a writer and radio show host. I have been called to share my experience, strength, and hope with those within the SDA church. Some will accept the message, most will not. That is not to stop me from doing what He has called me to do...too bad some will reject me...they are rejecting Him...shalom
