Local initiatives throughout Florida are asked to invite representatives from their respective congressional delegations to their monthly or periodic meetings, to have the local staffs become trauma-informed and share local and national efforts with their congress person. In this way, we can educate and inform congressional staff, and ultimately our members of congress, in hopes of their joining the Trauma-Informed Care Caucus, a "bi-partisan caucus working to increase awareness in Congress of Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), the science-based treatment framework used to address the root causes of major public health issues in the U.S., including addiction, mental health, and obesity."
Thank you!
