I had the great opportunity of being the keynote speaker at this wonderful conference. Trauma Informed Care (medical model) was provided to multiple sectors from counselors, nurses, university advisors, family members, and others. As we continue to respond to the needs of children, young adults, and even geriatrics that have experienced adversities, it is important to understand that this is not only a problem in the United States but it is an international concern. With our growing and diverse population please note that the United States government has created an action plan on children in adversity - A framework for International Assistance: 2012-2017.
