I am thrilled to announce the newest ACEs Connection Community, the Rainbow Resilience Connection of LGBTQ Survivors! This newest community is a group for anyone who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community or who supports the community. You can find the page and join here!
The Community Managers are myself and Mary Giuliani, you can read more about us below!
You may be wondering why we chose the name: Rainbow to reflect the colors of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer flag, and to reflect everyone in the community. Resilience communicates that we are focused on building on one of the main solutions to address and heal trauma, resilience. And Connection is what we all lost due to our trauma, and are looking to reclaim, which in part we will be doing by connecting with other rainbow survivors in this community as well as any other initiatives that get sparked from this new group.
We are so excited to join the ‘A Better Normal’ Community Discussion tomorrow on LGBTQ+ Identity and Race in the US: An Intersectional Discussion On Historical and Generational Trauma at 12pm PST / 3pm EST with With Panelists Rev. Dr. D. Mark Wilson and Alexander Cho, Ph.D., and moderated by ACEs Connection staff members Jenna Quinn and Alison Cebulla. For more information, and to register, follow this link.
