The Mockingbird Society, an advocacy organization for youth in foster care, offers trainings for youth and young adults on topics such as Legislative Advocacy, Voice Development, Transitions, The Power of Voting, & Storytelling for Advocacy. The mission of this organization is to improve foster care and end youth homelessness through guiding principles such as:

Every year, over 400 youth and young adult participants engage in trainings that build their skills as community members, leaders, and advocates. The Mockingbird Society provides these trainings as a means to empower our young people to speak up for themselves and their peers, while helping them develop into successful adutlts.
