Early Childhood Mental Health – Resilient Georgia General Meeting

The first few years of life provide the foundation for children's mental health and brain development. Resilient Georgia recently convened several Early Childhood Mental Health (0 to 5 years) experts from across the state to share exciting updates and leading practices at our quarterly General Meeting in March (please see agenda below).

If you would like to learn more about this important topic, what Georgia is doing in this area, and what you can do to make an impact today, please access the meeting recording and materials posted on our General Meeting webpage.

Our speakers highlighted so much of the innovative work being done across the state around Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, and our General Meeting webpage includes a meeting follow up document with a wealth of state and national IECMH resources shared by our partners.

We had so much fun learning from all presenters and thinking back to our favorite childhood books during the meeting. Resilient Georgia has donated all the books shared by meeting attendees to support three early childhood literacy efforts in Georgia. Our partners at Friends of Refugees - Refugee Family Literacy, The Black Child Development Institute Literacy Programs, and the Early Childhood Initiative at the Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia have been busy getting them into the hands of little ones across the state!  To view this delightful list of favorite childhood books compiled from the meeting, please see the meeting follow up document posted on our General Meeting webpage.

We hope you will join us for our next General Meeting on Jun 10th from 11 am to 12:30 pm ET that will focus on Teen Mental Health. We will have several experts share ‘big ideas’ and key efforts underway to bolster teen mental health across the state. Use this link to register today. We will continually update our General Meeting webpage leading up to the meeting with the agenda and meeting materials.

We welcome all questions, thoughts, and expertise at info@resilientga.org.
