Resilient Brunswick will hold its next monthly meeting on Monday July 18, 2022 from 1 – 3 PM at the Cooperative Extension Building located at 25 Referendum Drive in Bolivia, in the Brunswick County Government Complex. We will spend this meeting primarily working in committees to continue developing our Strategic Plan for the next 12-18 months. We began this work at our last meeting and had a lot of great energy in the room that generated many great ideas! We will continue creating the details of these plans, including developing timelines, and prioritizing which goals and objectives each committee will tackle first. If you were unable to join us last time, we encourage you to join us for this meeting as we need and want everyone’s input in order to create a strong strategic plan. You may choose which committee you wish to join when you arrive at the meeting. The committees are listed on the attached agenda.
Just a reminder that the format we will employ moving forward will be to meet monthly but alternate our focus with every other month being a meeting where we work in our committees on the goal and objectives we develop, and the monthly meetings in between focusing on each committee sharing their work, any needs they have for others to support their efforts, and having guest speakers or member organizations provide presentations so we can continue growing our knowledge of resiliency resources already present in our community. District Attorney Jon David and/or District Court Judge Quintin McGee (dependent on their work commitments that day) will be guest speakers at our August meeting, sharing how the NC Court system has incorporated ACEs science into its work.
Please make every effort to attend these meetings. I think you will find them productive and focused on making measurable progress in our efforts to create a more resilient community for all who live and/or work in Brunswick County.
