FEATURED AGENCY:
Housing is the foundation to healthy living. Secure, stable, clean housing gives families the chance to maintain security and stability in other areas of their lives including mental health, work, and school. In 2017, inadequate housing accounted for 14.7% of child removals from homes in Charlotte County, FL. As of July 2021, inadequate housing accounts for 74.3% of child removals from homes in our county.
Today, we feature and thank Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity for their dedicated, selfless work in providing housing security to over 500 families in our community. Thank you for the work you do and for helping to alleviate ACEs in Charlotte County, FL.
