State Incentivizing Doctors to Perform Adverse Childhood Experience Screenings
California has approved ACEs screenings for pediatricians and will even reimburse them for patients on Medicaid and Medi-Cal! Is there anyone working on something similar in Idaho? There is a small pilot project being done here in Boise. Dr Tom Patterson is the lead on that. I know they started fairly recently screening parents of babies at their four month appointment. The idea is that if they can identify parents with high ACE scores, they can put them in touch with more resources and perhaps prevent intergenerational ACE transmittal.
