The 2016 Iowa ACEs Summit, Beyond ACEs: Building Hope and Resiliency in Iowa was held on Friday, October 14. Over 330 attendees joined to learn more about the national ACEs movement and community-led responses in Iowa and beyond. Kicking off with a screening of the film Resilience and ending with breakout sessions structured around resilience strategies, a high point of the day was the launch of a new video of a community advocate sharing her story of hope. The keynote was Jane Stevens, Founder of ACEs Connection, sharing information on the national movement.
Local and statewide media covered the event, including this Interview with Suzanne Mineck at Mid-Iowa Health Foundation.
