The Central Iowa ACEs 360 Steering Committee has led efforts to research how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) impact the health and well-being of Iowans throughout a lifetime.
In 2012, questions were added to the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System to understand and document ACEs in Iowa's population. With grant funding from Mid-Iowa Health Foundation, the Steering Committee commissioned the analysis of Iowa-specific ACEs data and has produced this report on the first-ever findings.
An updated report is anticipated to be published in late 2015 or early 2016.
