On Wednesday, February 4, 2015, a panel presented to the Iowa House Human Resources Committee. Organized by the Iowa ACEs advocacy coalition, the presentation focused on an overview of adverse childhood experiences and the strength of public/private partnerships in this work in Iowa, the science of a child's developing brain and how it is impacted by trauma, and support for evidence-based programs in Iowa already finding success. Panel presenters included:
- Suzanne Mineck: President, Mid-Iowa Health Foundation
- Dr. Amy Shriver: Pediatrican, Blank Children's Hospital
- Anne Starr: CEO, Orchard Place
