Kansas PACEs Connection is dedicated to connecting and supporting organizations, systems, and communities who are interested in better understanding the prevalence of ACEs and trauma, recognizing the impact that these have on individual and organizational health, and developing policies and practices that promote resiliency and healing.

Building Resilient, Trauma Informed Cultures

Kauffman Foundation Conference Center

Two day immersion in principles and practices of trauma informed care and support for resilient communities.

Participants will gain:

  • A deeper understanding of

    • the prevalence and impact of personal, public, and systemic trauma

    • protective factors and ways to increase resilience

    • the trauma-informed approach in a variety of settings

    • the challenges and outcomes of trauma-informed culture change

  • Expert coaching in delivering trauma informed care orientations and building awareness of the prevalence and impact of trauma

  • Complete, customizable Powerpoint presentation, including objectives, talking points, videos, group activities, and references

  • Key insights and successful resilience-building strategies from trauma sensitive organizations

  • Binder and cloud drive access, which include all training materials, video files, implementation resources, and printable fact sheets and other documents

Registration must be received by October 28. Course fee includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks in addition to training materials (please indicate allergies and dietary restrictions in the registration form). On-site registration confirmation and breakfast begin at 8:30am each day. The program concludes each day at 4:00pm.

Bonus: Participants who complete this training are eligible to bring staff from the Center for Trauma Informed Innovation to their location for a day of implementation facilitation at the reduced rate of $1250 (regularly $1500). Please indicate on the registration form if you would like someone from the CTII to follow up with you.
