Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) for Providers

Environmental safety measures are key in creating safety from suicide. In this session, mental health providers will increase their skills in assessing for access to lethal means, and joining with clients in how to plan for safety. Particular attention is paid to navigating firearm safety.

This event is presented by Kansas Suicide Prevention HQ as part of a Suicide Prevention Training Series and is funded by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Kansas Zero Suicide: A Framework for Health and Behavioral Health Care System
