In continuation of the Alive and Well Communities “Impact Series,” hosted by the Kansas City Public Library, a collaboration with community partners will present to you: Trauma: Housing and Homelessness
Come and join us, as we explore the science, stories, and impact of trauma within:
- Personal stories of becoming an influence for those experiencing inadequate housing and/or homelessness
- Creating more effective wrap-around care for those who are experiencing homelessness
- Working through access to housing, eviction, and Section 8 when aging out of the foster care system
- How services and resources work together to provide housing for students who are experiencing homelessness
- Personal stories of experiencing homelessness and addiction and how to live soberly
- How to support tenant rights
- Connecting resources to engage systems and communities
Attendees are invited to bring the following donations to the event:
- Women's feminine products
- Travel size toothbrush/toothpaste
- Hygiene products
- Toilet paper
- Pop-top, ready to eat, canned items
- Lip balm
- New, packaged socks
