Northwest Indiana Community Action is pleased to announce our 4th annual Reimagine Conference happening on October 11 & 12, 2022!  Becky Haas will keynote for this hybrid event which will also include a Poverty Simulation experience to re-sensitize helping professionals to the every day reality of toxic stress experienced by so many in our communities.

If we learn anything from the science of ACEs and trauma, it is that actions taken today have consequences, either positive or negative, far into the future.  Every community sector is invited to consider ways that their presence and actions in the community support healthy development and healing and whether there are ways that they perpetuate toxic stress and hinder wellness.

The theme of the 2022 conference is “Healing Our Future.” The focus will continue to be understanding the impact of toxic stress (at every stage of development) on behavior, on relationships, and on communities as well as the prevention and remediation of these effects through care, connection, and community.
