Two days of practical support for K-12 teachers with key information about the brain, trauma, and social and emotional development.
Course Description:
Echo Parenting & Education is offering two days of practical classroom management support for K-12 teachers.
The training includes:
Information about the brain and nervous system
- Effect of trauma on the brain and nervous system
- Understanding classroom challenges as neurobiological rather than good or bad behavior
- Strategies to help calm students' nervous systems and keep your own cool too!
Communication and conflict resolution support
- Addressing classroom challenges in ways that foster healthy social and emotional development
- Helping children and teens navigate anger
- Setting limits respectfully
- Strategies for supporting those who have experienced trauma
This course offers teachers alternatives to the myriad of classroom management systems based on control, punishment, and rewards that don't address the underlying root causes of behavior or create the quality of connection you want with your students.
Perhaps most importantly, this training will offer two days of community, understanding, and concrete support for you.
...and if you're an LAUSD teacher, you can even get a salary point credit!
