Aaron Covington had a pretty normal life. He drove a car. Earned a college degree. Rented a home. Worked as an electrical engineer. Even played Xbox.
Last Thursday, wearing a pair of dusty jeans and with his life’s belongings in tow, the Mariposa County native wandered into a creekside homeless encampment near Pioneer Market. He hasn’t had a home for three years. And his new stomping grounds could be disbanded in the near future.
In a Friday morning conversation with Covington, Sheriff Jeremy Briese told the transient man that an ordinance or some form of move-out order will likely be issued in that area soon.
