YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN IN ACTION PLANNING TO SUSTAIN ADVERSE CHILD EXPEREINCES (ACE) WORK IN THE COMMUNITY and SCHOOLS
On September 22nd, a group of community members and organization leaders attended a presentation of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE). The September presentation was the just beginning of a journey to raise awareness about ACEs, support the development of resilience and ultimately engage individuals in community transformation in the northwest suburbs of Hennepin County, Minnesota.
Knowledge of ACEs is vital to understanding the origins of physical, social, mental, and societal health and well-being. The cumulative effect of ACEs on neurodevelopment has generational implications and contribute to leading causes of learning challenges, disease, disability, productivity issues and early death.
Please accept this invitation to become part of a cohort of individuals and organizations who will begin a process to ensure the sustainability of ACE work in our community and, in particular, in the northwest regional corridor of Hennepin County.
Parents and community and organization leaders are important in this work. Please share this information with parents, community members and community leaders, with whom you work and live in the community, and encourage them to become a part of this important community effort.
