Dr. Annie Lewis-O’Connor is a Board Certified Pediatric and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She is the Founder and Director of the C.A.R.E Clinic (Caring Approach to Resiliency & Empowerment) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. This clinic is committed to providing patient centered and trauma-informed health care to people who have been intentionally harmed by trauma, violence and abuse. Dr. Lewis-O’Connor addresses violence from four pillars: Research, Policy, Education, and Clinical practice. Dr. Lewis-O’Connor is published in peer-reviewed journals and academic books on the topic of violence against women and children trauma-informed care and the effects of trauma, violence and abuse on health. Her current research is focused on measuring Trauma-Informed Care models of care in adult health care settings and exploration of best ‘screening’ (inquiry) methods for trauma, violence and abuse.

Eve Rittenberg, MD is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a primary care internist at the BWH Fish Center for Women’s Health. Her interests include women’s health, health equity, and trauma. She has a primary care Clinician Innovator award to develop trauma-informed care at Brigham outpatient practices. She is a 2018 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars fellow, working with an interdisciplinary team on trauma-informed care. She is the past medical director of primary care at the BWH Fish Center for Women’s Health, and is actively engaged in medical student education in women’s health.

Psychiatrist at Brigham and Women's Hospital
Nomi Levy-Carrick is a psychiatrist who currently practices at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) in a proactive psychiatric consultation model in the medical ICU, focusing on integrating mental health, substance and behavioral health across treatment settings. She also serves as Burn Liaison from the Department of Psychiatry to the Trauma, Burn and Surgical Critical Care Division at BWH. Nomi is co-Chair of the Partners Trauma Informed Care Initiative, an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar (2018-2021). She is also the incoming Associate Vice Chair for Ambulatory Clinical Services in the Department of Psychiatry at BWH. Nomi previously served as Mental Health Director of the World Trade Center Environmental Health Center in New York.
