NC Pilot Community Sought for Systems Work with IVPB, IPRC

The NC Division of Public Health Injury and Violence Prevention Branch (IVPB), UNC Injury Prevention Research Center (IPRC) and Rural Opportunity Institute (ROI) are recruiting a pilot community to participate in spring 2022 (late March or April to June) on using a systems thinking approach for preventing ACEs in NC communities.  The project will consist of a webinar and 3 workshops in which teams will learn the causal loop diagram process. Following the workshops, teams will receive technical assistance for their project for up to one year.

The purpose of the project is to support North Carolina communities disproportionately affected by ACEs in furthering their understanding of how community systems and structures influence ACEs. This understanding will help to identify ways to strengthen systems and build community resilience to prevent ACEs.

Project details are also included in this informational video: https://www.loom.com/share/7f400d47e14e441dabb5711f960a6fac
