WCTE recently received a grant from the state for a documentary series.
Rep. Ryan Williams announced WCTE and the Department of Children and Youth Services received $150,000 in funding from state government for a documentary series.
Brent Clark, WCTE director of content and digital media, said the station developed a 6-episode documentary series around the Adverse Childhood Experiences, or ACEs. According to a written release from Rep. Ryan Williams' office, ACEs include physical, emotional or sexual abuse. Children who experience more ACEs are at higher risk for poor outcomes in life, including poverty, depression and addictive behaviors.
