We are currently partnering with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the College of Marin, Johns Hopkins’ Adolescent Depression Awareness Program (ADAP), the Marin County Board of Supervisors, and the Department of Health and Human Services to organize a forum to create synergy among the various leaders in the mental health field.
The purpose of organizing this forum is to educate county and school board officials, parents, teachers, and other youth. More specifically, we plan to educate about the importance of understanding and advocating for the improvement and accessibility of mental health services for Marin County youth.
This forum would also provide an opportunity for mental health service providers to share their thoughts on where they feel Marin County can strengthen their support for youth.
