Bringing Local Data to Life: Using New Life Expectancy Data to Spark Change (webinar)

For more information or to register, click here

Hosted by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, USALEEP, City Health Dashboard, and Urban Institute

The more local the data, the more useful it can be for pinpointing health disparities and driving action. For the first time ever, public health officials, community leaders, and others working to improve health can access census tract level data to measure and compare differences in life expectancy in nearly every neighborhood across the country. With this kind of information, community leaders can examine the factors that may be influencing these health differences such as access to health care, safe and affordable housing, educational opportunities, and other factors that impact the health of community members and target solutions more effectively.

Join the United States Small-Area Life Expectancy Estimates Project (USALEEP), City Health Dashboard, and Urban Institute, along with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, for an exciting webinar exploring how these local life expectancy data can help spark change to improve health and well-being for all.

During this webinar you will:

  • Hear from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the United States Small-Area Life Expectancy Estimates Project (USALEEP) on the importance of local data and how they help communities identify challenges and drive change in communities.
  • Learn how to use the City Health Dashboard to dig deeper into the health and social factors that influence life expectancy.
  • Hear about two new funding opportunities for organizations interested in narrowing the gaps in life expectancy by putting local data to work for healthier, more equitable communities.
