Report: Child poverty increases in 80 of 83 Michigan counties
MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU)-- Child poverty has increased in 80 out of 83 counties in Michigan, according to reports by the Michigan League for Public Policy advocacy group. According to MLPP's report, child poverty increased 23 percent statewide from 2006-2014 and the rate of child abuse and neglect also increased in most Michigan counties, up 29 percent statewide compared to 2006.
