METHODS: A strati fi ed, 2-stage, clustered design, with oversampling of black and Hispanic mothers, was used to survey a nationally representative sample of 1031 mothers of infants aged 2 to 6 months.

Re: Assistance dog trained to help witnesses, victims in Stanislaus County court [Modesto Bee]
Very cool. There was a time and even now. I could use such a service dog. There is a big internal push to not report sexual assault. I wouldn't because I did not want to be re-traumatized by this system that is very adversarial and tends to blame the one assaulted.

Report: Child poverty increases in 80 of 83 Michigan counties
MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU)-- Child poverty has increased in 80 out of 83 counties in Michigan, according to reports by the Michigan League for Public Policy advocacy group. According to MLPP's report, child poverty increased 23 percent statewide from 2006-2014 and the rate of child abuse and neglect also increased in most Michigan counties, up 29 percent statewide compared to 2006.
