Washington OKs 1st statewide missing Indigenous people alert (newsbreak.com)

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee on Thursday signed into law a bill that creates a first-in-the-nation statewide alert system for missing Indigenous people. The law creates a system similar to Amber Alerts and so-called silver alerts, which are used respectively for missing children and vulnerable adults in many states. Announcing the Keep Community Campaign!

Inspired by last weekend's blog post I wrote on Rise to Resilience, They Are Human, Too , I decided to create a campaign called Keep Community. Over the next month, I hope to collect $1000 to donate $500 towards the Tacoma Mutual Aid Collective who does incredible work in the local community.
