Coastal Horizons and Healthy Blue Initiative teamed up on Monday, March 14 to provide a 3 hour Community Resiliency Model Training for 21 local Pender County DSS staff to help support the health and well-being of children in foster care, their families, and caregivers.
Participants learned 4 of the 6 biology-based wellness skills to help regulate the nervous system to better manage stress and cultivate well-being.
CRM teachers will be providing another training on Thursday, March 17 for all staff who were not able to make the training on Monday.
