Do you want to use your experience to help others heal?
Drexel University Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice is currently seeking applicants for a PAID Community Health Worker/ Certified Peer Specialist Training for Philadelphia residents ages 18-24.
Minimum requirements for eligibility include:
- Philadelphia resident
- Age 18-24
- HS diploma or GED
- Not currently enrolled in school this semester
- Lived experience of violence (to themselves or someone close to them)
- Vaccinated/ or willing to receive COVID-19 vaccination by September 9, 2022*
- Willing to commit to 165 hours of training (virtual and in person) over 9 weeks
TRAINING STIPEND and a FREE CHROMEBOOK laptop are provided to those accepted into the program. Following classroom training, participants have the option to participate in hands-on experiential learning at human service agencies throughout Philadelphia.
