Research has demonstrated that parental involvement is a critical element of high-quality early care and education and can support school readiness and later academic success. It is critical that teachers and leaders in early care and education centers have the skills and ability to create positive relationships with parents and to develop effective ways to engage them in ongoing collaboration. This workshop will provide opportunities for educators to discuss the challenges faced when working with families and will introduce strategies and solutions for reducing barriers and promoting effective partnerships.
