At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- To review the research on the associations between racism and child physical, mental, and behavioral health and development.
- To identify the various models that help explain both the role of racism in children's health, and how a psychosocial stressor such as racism might “get under the skin” to contribute to poor health outcomes as well as racial and ethnic health disparities throughout the life course.
- To discuss how professionals can help mitigate the effects of racial discrimination on child health and development.
- To identify directions for future research on racism and child health.
