What is it that enables some people to experience a “positive adaptation” in the face of highly stressful, life-situations? This 5-hour workshop will examine the concept of “resilience”, a protective process that enables us to reach positive outcomes in the face of significant adversities. While resilience is a dynamic process that reaches across the lifespan, special emphasis will be given to examining resilience in children and adolescents. This foundational workshop will explore current research and practical applications.
