Our child serving systems, including early education, were created to support healthy development and to provide safe and nurturing relational experiences for children and families. Unfortunately, sometimes our systems can also hurt or further isolate struggling families. This workshop will explore the ways that systems can sometimes cause additional hurt through practices or policies that can be re-traumatizing for vulnerable families.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand how systems can be unintentionally hurtful to the most vulnerable children and families
- Identify three ways they can shift their practice to better support vulnerable children and families.
Training provided by the Health Federation of Philadelphia's Multiplying Connections Initiative through a grant from Philadelphia Health Management Corporation's (PHMC) Southeast Regional Key (SERK) Program
Registration is open to all, and is done online through the PaKeys.org. You will need to create a login through PaKeys to register.
