Are you interested in utilizing trauma informed creative expression with the individuals and communities you serve? If yes, we welcome you to join the A Window Between Worlds (AWBW) network of 600+ art workshop facilitators who use our program with the survivors they serve, their staff, volunteers, and advocates, to further awareness and fundraising initiatives, and beyond.
We believe creative expression is a human right, but it is a right that can only be exercised when we feel safe to be seen and heard in an authentic way. As AWBW Training Facilitator, Tiombe Wallace, shares: “On an individual level, creating art in a safe and supported environment taps into our creative power to re-imagine our authentic experience and create a future in our own hands. On a community level it can create connections and foster a sense of belonging and possibility that grounds us and allows us to create change.”
The first step in collaborating is attending a virtual Facilitator Training. Registration is now open for the final training of 2021. Registration includes a two-day live training via Zoom, access to AWBW’s 600+ healing art curriculum (many also in Spanish), support from the Windows community and a host of other benefits. Below are two fliers describing the training opportunity as well as the ongoing benefits trainees receive.
