The AVA, which raises awareness and influences changes in the way the issues of violence and abuse are addressed in health professional education and its academic communities, has produced a four-hour video about the CDC-Kaiser Permanente ACE Study, featuring interviews with Drs. Vincent Felitti and Robert Anda, co-principle investigators, as well as Dr. David Williamson, a CDC epidemiologist who participated in the research.

It has put together three-, eight- and 15 minute previews of the four-hour DVD, which is organized into chapters for use in an ongoing course. The previews can be viewed and downloaded from the AVA site. The DVD costs $45; online access also costs $45. An institutional license costs $225.
The AVA also put together a white paper of best practices with 14 short chapters (1-3 pages) that include the biological effects of ACEs, evidence-based child and adolescent treatment, and clinical approaches for adults.
