YOU ARE INVITED!
The Resilient Brunswick County Task Force is a collaborative group of local non-profit leaders and community members who are working to educate, inform, and provide resources to help our community become more resilient and ensure it is a place where everyone can thrive. The task force is excited to be hosting a FREE Lunch and Learning event called A Day of Resilience on Thursday March 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM at BCC’s Odell Williamson Event Center in Bolivia. This event is designed for everyone who lives or works in Brunswick County, and is aimed at increasing community awareness of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their potential adverse long term effects on mental, emotional, and physical health. The event will provide several distinct opportunities to gain knowledge of both ACEs and how to build resiliency skills to help combat the effects of ACEs in your everyday life. Participants can attend the entire day of events, or just the morning or afternoon session. Lunch will be provided for all participants who pre-register to attend. A resource fair during the lunch portion of the event will provide practical information on a number of local community resources to support well-being and resiliency. There will be raffle prizes awarded throughout the day as well. It promises to be both a fun and educational gathering!
