The Inland Empire’s Collaborative Community Economic Resilience Fund (CERF) team is pleased to invite you to our Region’s Kick Off Event. It will be held at the San Manuel Student Union North at Cal State University, San Bernardino on June 23, 2023, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. We are excited to host partners from all over the region including community serving organizations, economic development agencies, philanthropic organizations, education and training partners, business partners, Native American Tribal partners, and other residents of the Inland Empire. We would be honored to have you or a member of your staff join us and more importantly, join the CERF conversation.
CERF was created by the California Legislature to promote a sustainable and equitable recovery from the economic distress from the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting new plans and strategies to diversify local economies and develop sustainable industries that create high-quality, broadly accessible jobs for all Californians. CERF includes approximately $500M in rolling, competitive grants to be split between the state’s 13 regions from 2022 to 2026. It is a massive investment in regional inclusive economic development with the potential to drastically transform communities that have been historically disadvantaged and underprivileged. The Inland Empire’s High Road Transition Collaborative (HRTC) needs your help in ensuring that our residents can reach their full potential.
As the Inland Empire prepares for a more technological, sustainable, carbon neutral future it is imperative that we center the most important asset in the region: The People. We would greatly appreciate your participation for the Inland Empire Kick Off Event, and are proud to include legislators, representatives, municipalities, and other elected stakeholders from both sides of the aisle in the region’s HRTC.
