-         This week, the Resilient NC Collaborative Coalition (RNCCC) is submitting a statewide Proclamation to the Governor’s Office, requesting he declare June 6-12 as “Resilient and Thriving Communities Week” across the state.  The link to the proclamation can be found here: "Healthy and Thriving Communities Week" Proclamation.  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RQnmiGtacCIZDOuIthd6hOXyxVy4XPpUMrBzeMUEVJw/edit At this time, the RNCCC is working to plan and schedule activities, media messages, and advocacy efforts at the local and state level to increase awareness and advocate on behalf of local communities.  The more communities which participate, the bigger the impact, and I hope you and the local coalition you are a part of will consider conducting or participating in an activity during that special week.

o   If you (or anyone in your local resilience/ACEs coalition) are interested in learning more or joining one of the small groups meeting to brainstorm and develop activities to accompany the Proclamation Week, please reach out to Kellie at ashcraftkb@appstate.edu to be added to the Coalition email list.  I’m sure she’d be happy to answer any questions you may have about this effort or the RNCCC in general as well.
