What a great policy day at the capital. My group visited representatives from 5 Assembly Districts and learned how supportive most legislative assistants were toward early childhood education, ACEs, and Resiliency. Many responded that their boss was in support of all the bills we suggested supporting. The big take away for me was the need to continue to push for support of the Governor's budget up for vote on May 14th. Everyone needs to blanket not only their local representative but the Governor's office with support and the ask to pass the budget. It was a beautiful sunny day and the Capitol was certainly packed but I felt the effort was worth it when I was able to educate one of the legislative assistants who had never heard of ACEs.
