DA Luncheon "Health, Safety, Education: Pathways to a Stronger Community

On Friday May 5th, 2017 Sacramento District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert hosted the 18th Annual Public Safety & Community Appreciation Luncheon "Heath, Safety, Education: Pathways to a Stronger Community". The focus of the event after the Service Above Self Award was ACEs and Trauma Informed Care! The YouTube "Chad" (www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFH6GR0ASKg) from Futures Without Violence was shown followed by a panel discussion to include Chief Renaud from Folsom Police Department,  Dr Michele Evans from Kaiser Permanente, Superintendent Banda from Sac Unified School District, and our own Ian Levin from the Mack Road Partnership Community Center. What a wonderful and enlightening discussion on  community efforts taking place today to address ACEs. DA Schubert let everyone know if they don't know about the Changing MInd's campaign to uncover ACEs, they will soon. Wonderful to see seeds planted over a year ago have sprung to life!
