Paper Tigers is a very powerful movie about adverse childhood experiences, toxic stress, and the resiliency that Lincoln High School in Walla Walla, Washington was able to develop in their students. It is one of the pillars in the work around childhood adversity and trauma-informed schools available, and we are very lucky to have it come to our community.
The screening will follow a community workshop on Friday, October 16th around Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and community responses to address ACEs and build resiliency will be held at the Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks and sponsored by the Meristem Institute, Sacramento ACEs Connection and Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento.
On Saturday, October 17th, a half-day schools’ workshop will be held at the Rudolf Steiner College to learn more about creating trauma-informed schools here in Sacramento.
