Sacramento ACEs Working Group got off to a running start- no sooner did we begin convening than we were planning the ultimately very successful ACEs conference last fall, along with the Paper Tigers Screening event! And we already have some events coming up in the spring.
While we have a moment, we would like to establish our first Steering Committee to help facilitate the goals and mission of our local Working Group.
Please comment below or email Gail Kennedy ( gailkennedy.aces@gmail.com ) if you would like to nominate yourself or a colleague from any of the following sectors. We want to make sure to establish a well-rounded Steering Committee.
o Education (e.g. school district representative)
o Legal and criminal justice (e.g. police chief, sheriff, juvenile justice representative)
o Early child care (e.g. daycare director)
o Faith communities (e.g. social action committee member)
o City government (e.g. mayor, city manager)
o Local media (e.g. reporter)
o Health care and behavioral health (e.g. community health center director, public health officer)
o Academic and research communities (e.g. faculty member)
o Social and family services (e.g. housing authority director, DHHS director)
