Just finished reading Scared Sick: The Role of Childhood Trauma in Adult Disease. Very powerful book. I was telling my daughter about it and how she could help her four sons build resiliency. The prospect that a parent could unknowingly set a child up for adult disease is very troubling. I told her about resiliency methods such as teaching her kids self soothing through breathing. How are we going to approach these very caring parents without scaring them. Would like to hear the groups thoughts on the subject. By the way-the book was very scientific and hard to read at times but my affiliation with ACEs Connection set the ground work for me to understand the biology at a very deep level.
