From preventing diseases and injuries to promoting healthy behaviors, along with preparing for and responding to public health emergencies and ensuring access to safe food, water and clean air, Sacramento County Public Health often works in the background to ensure communities can be healthy.
In an effort to improve the health of Sacramento County, Public Health is developing a Community Health Improvement Plan and invite resident input. Public Health is asking residents to complete a 5-10 minute electronic survey to get opinions about community health issues in Sacramento County. The survey is available in multiple languages and is only open through Feb. 14, 2020. All answers are completely anonymous and will only be used by Sacramento County Public Health to form the Community Health Improvement Plan.
“The Community Health Assessment describes the state of health in Sacramento County and the Community Health Improvement Plan outlines a plan for addressing it,” said Nick Mori, Sacramento County Public Health Program Planner. “A major component of this process is soliciting input from community members and stakeholders. Sacramento County Public Health hosted a Community Stakeholder Meeting in November and through this community survey we are continuing to solicit resident feedback.”
