Trauma and Healing Learning Series Launches on May 30 in Sacramento! Tickets still available.

DeAngelo Mack

Hosted by Resilient Sacramento founding member DeAngelo Mack, the Trauma and Healing Learning Series is an effort developed by the Healthy Development Strategy Team from the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Sacramento Collaborative.

The Trauma and Healing Learning Series welcomes practitioners and community members to discuss the impact of racism on overall wellbeing, and promoting healing-centered approaches to mental and physical health care. Informed by a series of mini-town hall sessions with youth, the Learning Series kicks off in May 2019 and runs through early fall.

The launch event on May 30 features workshop sessions led by Dr. Flojaune Cofer, Senior Policy Director at Public Health Advocates; and Kanwarpal Dhaliwal, Associate Director at RYSE Center in Richmond, CA, pictured below.
