Training: Modernizing the California Victim Compensation Program (CalVCP)

The two-day training for pro bono attorneys and legal providers is an in-depth overview of the legal issues faced by trafficking survivors. Topics include:

  • Overview of legal definition of trafficking
  • Criminal victim witness advocacy
  • Ethical issues
  • Intro to civil remedies
  • Immigration benefits
  • Family law advocacy
  • Acess to Public benefits
  • Best practices working with multidisciplinary teams

This training provides up to 14 hours of MCLE credits including 1 Elimination of Bias credit for participants who attend both full days.
