The County of Sacramento is seeking community input on alternatives to calling 911 in a behavioral health crisis. I don't know. MH First is a local group in Sacramento that has been providing services for mental health crises on the weekends. It is an all volunteer group. So we (Decarcerate Sacramento and our allies) have been pushing for the city and board of supervisors to fund this program. Both the county and city have looked at CAHOOTS in Eugene, Oregon as a model, but we continue to push that we have folks doing this work right here in our community and we should try to build from what they have...
