Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a short term, evidence-based treatment model for children ages 3-18 who have been impacted by trauma and their caregivers. TF-CBT has been shown to significantly reduce children’s post-traumatic stress and other trauma reactions as well as increasing caregivers’ ability to support children in their recovery. Laura Williams, MA, LPC spoke on the relationship between traumatic brain injury (TBI) and ACEs at the Oct 8 Resilient Sacramento Meeting.
